With an Chinese-Japanese origin, the matryoshka dolls are very popular as a traditional russian folklore. A russian legend tells the story about a virtuoso carpenter Sergai, who found a magnificent piece of wood under the snow. He creates the first doll called Matryoshka (latin origin of mother) with it.
One day the doll felt sad and alone, Sergei decided to create a familly of dolls with the same piece of wood. The names, Tryoshka, Oshka and Ka. Ka for a male last one to end the saga…
